Next-Gen USB-C Adapter

The adapter fastens onto any 12V Nocqua battery and delivers a steady 5V while accepting 12 V input. In addition, a rubber cap keeps salt spray and debris out when not in use. The eight-and-a-half-inch lead also prevents strain on ports.

Upgraded Component Pack

Wiring extra gear is simple now. Because the pack includes a Direct Connect (DC) lead, heat-shrink tube, and solder connectors. You can crimp, solder, and seal in minutes. Marine-grade seals keep water out helping your installation lasts season after season.

Nocqua Pro Power Bundle for Every Adventure

Installation

NOCQUA Pro Power Kit Installation Instructions

Before installation and use:

  1. Confirm component requirements are compatible with NOCQUA 12V battery.
  2. Ensure that the battery is fully charged before use.
  3. Make note of the positive (red) and negative (black) wire leads before beginning installation.

Installation of heat shrink butt connectors:

  1. Strip outer protective black insulation to approximately 1”
    • a. Be careful not to strip wire leads.
  2. Strip the individual inside wire leads to approximately 1/4”.
  3. Repeat this process for the wiring of your electronic component device.
  4. Measure and cut heat shrink tubing to 3” or to your specifications to safely seal both butt connectors.
    • a. The tubing will be heated to seal the two butt connectors at the end of installation.
    • b. The remaining tubing is additional material and can be used for future projects.
  5. Slide measured piece of heat shrink tubing over the component wire leaving room to work.
  6. Slide a stripped Pro Power Kit wire lead into the crimp barrel of one butt connector.
  7. Slide the same color lead from the component wire into the opposite side of the butt connector.
    • a. Ensure that sufficient amount of the stripped wire is secured within the crimp barrel.
  8. Using a wire stripper or a standard set of pliers, compress the crimp barrel onto the exposed wire leads.
    • a. Confirm that the crimp holds for a tight fit before moving on to the next step.
  9. Heat the connector evenly from the center out to the ends until the tubing is fully recovered and secure – do not isolate the heat in one place for too long.
    • a. Do not hold the heat directly on tubing – continually move and turn.
  10. Let the connection cool before moving on to the next step.
  11. Redo Steps #5 through #10 for the remaining wire leads.

Installation of heat shrink tubing:

  1. Slide the heat shrink tubing over the two cooled butt connectors.
  2. Carefully push until centered so that there are no wire leads showing.
  3. Heat evenly from the center out to the ends until the tubing is fully recovered and secure – do not isolate heat too long in one place.
  4. Confirm that the connectors have held during installation.
  5. Power up your gear!

FAQ

How long will the battery power my device?

● The run time of the 20Ah battery depends on the power draw of the device.
● Check with the device manufacturer for the average power draw.
● Once you have the power draw of the device in Ah you can divide that by the capacity of the battery, which will give you the run time (in hours).

Do I need to install a fuse?

Overcharge and short circuit protection is wired into the NOCQUA Pro Power battery, but extra safety precautions are recommended which is why we developed our 3A Inline Fuse. This popular accessory includes a blade fuse with a water-resistant tethered cap cover, waterproof connectors and includes two 3A blade fuses. What is a good volt read for my Nocqua battery?

A good volt read for a Nocqua battery is between 12v-12.6v. You can track the voltage level of your battery using our Voltmeter + accessory: Voltmeter + | Water Gear | NOCQUA Adventure Gear

How long does the battery need to charge?

● A fully depleted 20Ah battery will take 4-6 hours to fully charge. Once the battery is fully charged, the blue LED light on the charger will remain solid at 100%. It is not recommended to leave your battery charging for an extended period of time.
● Use the 5A Pro Charger provided in the kit with the 20Ah battery.

How many charge cycles will I get?

This varies between charge cycles and maintenance. On average, between 300-500 cycles

What is the lifespan of my battery?

This varies on preventative maintenance. The typical lifespan of a lithium-ion battery is between 2-4 years.

Is my battery waterproof?

The battery is deigned to be versatile, durable and water resistant. Not waterproof.

Is there any maintenance to keep my battery functioning properly?

● It’s also recommended to give your battery a full discharge from time to time using the Nocqua Dual USB Adapter: Dual Port USB | Travel Adapter | NOCQUA Adventure Gear It is not recommended to leave your battery sitting for an extended period of time.
